Best Historial Fiction for Women? asked 374 days ago by Shani - 2 answersWhat are the best Historical Fiction book for women. NOT cheesy romance novels, more along the lines of "The Other Boleyn Girl" or "Outlander."
I really enjoy the Red tent, the Women of Genesis series by Orson Scott Card. Katherine by Anya Seton was written in the 50's but has stood the test of time. It is about a woman in 14th century England who becomes the mistress of the most powerful man in the land and is also Geoffrey Chaucer's sister-in-law. It is romantic, sweeping in scope and utterly fascinating.
