Books about girls in 6th grade asked 391 days ago by Alisa - 31 answersI am an advanced 5th grade reader looking for a 200 pg. + book about a 6th grader. I have found a lot of books about 7th and 8th graders but not about 6th graders. Please help! Are you there God, It's Me Margaret Hi Alisa, Hope you like one of the following 3 books! :) Ashley
I, Lorelei by Yeardley Smith
Next to Mexico by Jennifer Nails
Dear George Clooney, Please Marry my Mom by Susin Nielsen Thanks! Hating Alison Ashley by Robin Klein. It's an Australian title.
Eleven by Lauren Myracle Thanks, I will defiantly look those up. My 11 year old loved the graphic novel Smile by Raina Telgemeier. synopsis from amazon.com "When she was in sixth grade, Telgemeier tripped while running and lost her two front teeth. In the years that followed, she went through a torturous series of dental surgeries and repairs, the trauma of which was mirrored by the social struggles she experienced during her adolescence." I just finished The Mother Daughter Book Club and it ROCKED! awesome! that one has a few book after it too... look for the rest of the series :) I have now finished Much Ado About Anne and loved it just as much! Any more recommendations? Anyone? :( I'm a fifth grader who reads 6th grade level also. I love anything by Laurie Halse Anderson, but if you want 6th grade girls, The Kind of Friends We Used to Be is very good, so is anything by that author. Thanks! :) Is there any good books just for a 7th/8th grade level? I guess it doesn't have to be about 5/6th graders... Anything? Mystery is my favorite, but I just need something thats good! try Red Blazer Girls --Michael Beil Good recommendation! I already read it... :) Thanks for recommending! Ok --well, I'm a middle school librarian, so you're in luck because I read a lot of 6-8 grade fiction. I'm just going to list out my favorites that I've read recently -- they're in lots of different genres, but you can look them up on amazon.com or in your library's catalog and see if you like their descriptions... I'm glad that you're such a voracious reader!
Matched -- Ally Condie Thanks sooooo much! I'm going to second Stargirl Also, I haven't read it, but I've heard good things about Down the Rabbit Hole by Peter Abrahams and it's a mystery, which you like... I've read that too! Wow, you guys are good! the clique series is supah good as well the gilda joyce series the joyce series is full of mystery and spying for the CIA the clique is about middle school girls in life
The Clique by Lisi Harrison(My fav series) Not all of these are about 6th graders but they are AWESOME! :) Enjoy! you should read sex and the city! That is not about middle schoolers -- it's about adult women living in New York doing adult things -- not sure it's appropriate here... all yall say stuff bla bla bla bla Sweet Valley Twins are I think 6th grade - probably a bit old fashioned now though! I am also in 6th grade and I am obsessed with the Hunger Games. READ IT!!!! Have u read all 5 in the Mother Daughter Book Club series? The rest r good 2! Also, I love Wendy Mass. All of her books r awesome. If u r interested in Holocaust books u should read the Boy in the Strpied Pajamas and the Devil's arithmetic. Have u read A Wrinkle in Time? That's another one of my all time favorites. I almost 4got! The Giver by Lois Lowery was great 2.
