Books like J.D. Robb or Tess Gerritsen asked 628 days ago by Lane - 6 answersI have always listened to audiobooks in the car. Somehow, I got hooked on J.D. Robb's books. I'm a sucker for a good mystery, but have never been one to even pick up a romance...but somehow, I got hooked on these. I've gotten through them all (I think). After I finished those, I started on Tess Gerritsen's Rizzoli and Isles series, which I really liked. I'm looking for some other books that are sort of like those. Any authors you like, or specific books you could suggest would be fab! Thanks! Try Kathy Reichs for similar plots to Tess Gerritsen. Nevada Barr and Lisa Scottoline would also be some read-alike authors. Try out Karin Slaughter - the Grand County series is especially good. Patricia Cornwell. I especially enjoyed her earlier books. I thought she got tedious in her later books. But when she first started writing, I would buy her books in hard back because I couldn't wait to read them. Verna, what are some of the good Patricia Cornwell books? I agree with you, many that have come out have been tendious, so I haven't really delved into her stuff. Any that you would recommend? Thanks
12/15/10 Can anyone clear this up for me? How did the dr get a gun? Thanks! Lane, I just got back to looking over other answers so this may be too late to answer your question about Cornwell: Take a look at FictFact to see different series books in the order they were written: www.FictFact.com I liked the first 5 Cornwell books and haven't read any since:
1. Postmortem Does anyone recommend her later books about Kay Scarpetta and if so, which ones? Hope you enjoy them, Lane.
