Does anyone know what children's book has the phrase...... asked 407 days ago by Kate - 10 answers"under the big umbrella?" My mom read this to me in the early 1980s. It may be a Little Golden book, but I am not positive about that. My mom doesn't remember the title, but it may have the word "beach" in it. I wish I could remember more details. Hi, the only book I would know is a little one called like that, but it was about autistic children, and how to deal with them. Could not find it anywhere, sorry.. Perhaps it was Harry by the Sea? A black and white dog is shooed away by his family on a hot day a the beach. He goes into the ocean to cool off and gets covered by seaweed. He appears to be a sea monster, scaring the people at the beach. Tweet me if it's the one, please! I'd feel so good if I knew I had helped you find a precious childhood book. I had the same quest for a book called Key yo the Treasure by Peggy Parish. @disneyphish Sarah Ford Key TO the Treasur, that is. Darned little iPod keyboard! LOL Sorry Sarah, that's not the one. This would have been written before th 80s. Are you sure it's not? I didn't say it was written in or after the 80s. I was born in 1967, and read it in the early 70s. The reason Harry's family shoos him away is because there isn't room for him under their beach umbrella. In the end I think they get a bigger umbrella to make room for Harry. I think the author's last name is Zion. Might want to check into it in case it's the one. Release date: January 1965 http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0060268565/slipcuecom-20#reader_0060268565 Thanks Sarah. I was able to look at this and it was by Zion, but unfortunately it is not the book. Thank you so much for taking the time to help. Kate:) I'm sorry I couldn't find the book you were looking for, but if you think it might be a Little Golden Book you might try this: http://www.goldenbook.com/ It's a website for collectors and people post questions and answers. Hope it helps.
