Help remembering a book about a rabbit that my dad used to read to me as a toddler! Info inside... asked 223 days ago by Dara - 1 answer

I've been looking for this book for a long time with no success. Here is everything I remember about it:
- It was a picture book with a simple story, for very young readers.
- The main character was called Rolo the rabbit, or Rollo the rabbit
- The story began with something like "The crows cawed as the sun rose;" there was a lovely illustraction of a red and orange sunset
- There was a girl rabbit at some point, but I don't remember her name
- At one point Rolo or this girl rabbit tripped over a mushroom/toadstool and bumped their nose.
- POSSIBLY Rolo ate a piece of poison mushroom and got a stomach ache; the girl rabbit had to find a leaf or herb to help him. (Not sure about this)
- It may have been a board book
- It was read to me in 1988- v.early 90's, and wouldn't have been published much later than this.

Any ideas, anyone?
