I want a book with action, excitment and discovery asked 456 days ago by Kin - 5 answers

I want a book that is mythical or has things like vampires, wizards and things that couldn't be real.

I don't know your age, so I am hoping if I suggest something it is appropriate. I have recently started reading urban fantasy which is somewhat different than the regular fantasy genre. Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden series is a great intro to the urban fantasy genre. Ilona Andrews is great, her Edge books, two so far, are like fairy tales for adults. Her other series, with Kate Daniels is great, but again, not sure of your age so it may not be for you. Kim Harrison writes a great series about a witch named Rachel Trent, and she has vampires, pixies, elves, ghosts, action and romance. Just an all around fun series. I have more suggestions if this is what you are looking for.

Oh I can't believe I did not mention Rob Thurman, I like all of her series, but LOVE the Leandros Bros. It is a really fun urban fantasy series, great characters.

Any of the Repairman Jack series, by F. Paul Wilson, starting with The Tomb.

A Dirty Job, by Christopher Moore, if you want something funny.

Necroscope, by Brian Lumley

The River of Dancing Gods, and And The Devil Will Drag You Under by Jack L. Chalker.
