I'm looking for a children's book from the 40, 50 or 60, asked 181 days ago by TD - 1 answerI'm looking for a children's book from the 40's, 50's or 60's. About a little, black girl in a candy store and she drops her coins in the sewer. The cover of the book was red. I would love to find this book. I recall a children's book called "A Medal for Melinda" I do not know if that is the exact title, or the correct book. It was about a little girl who lived in the projects. I checked but could not find the title on Amazon.
