I'm looking for books with African American girl characters...suggestions? asked 528 days ago by Kathleen M. - 13 answersApprox. 4th grade reading level I have two suggestions, but I'm not sure what reading level they are considered to be. I've always read way outside of my reading level. (The Help) and (Kindred) are the two best books I've ever read. They both have African American girls in them and are amazing. You can look up a summary on them and if it doesn't fit your reading level, then I'm sorry! :)
