Mouse in red dress asked 665 days ago by Tina W. - 8 answers

Do not remember name of book. Was 30+ years ago. It was a girl mouse living in her house (in tree truck?) she was signing and always keeping her house clean.

Antoinette says:

My first thought was "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH" but a quick Google search suggests it may be "Minnikin, Midgie, and Moppet: A Mouse Story"

Tina W. (who asked the original question) says:

Sorry that is not the book. All I remember was a female mouse in a red dress. Cleaning her little house immaculately, and this is why I still keep my house
so clean.

Scroll down to C25. They seem to have a few suggestions.

Richard J. says:

Have you considered The Tale of Mrs Tittlemouse? (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tale_of_Mrs._Tittlemouse which includes an image of the mouse, wearing a red-ish dress with her dustpan and brush.)

Annette says:

Miss Suzy?

Lisa C. says:

Angelina Ballerina

Grae says:

Agree with the Stump The Bookseller link.

Is this the mouse you're looking for?

Tina W. (who asked the original question) says:

Thanks for your help. That was it. The name of the book is Little Mouse Dances by Elizabeth Upham.
Thanks again.
