Does anyone have an ideas for another book along those lines. You could try other Amy Tan books. I think Kitchen God's Wife is the one that came after Joy Luck. I really enjoyed the books by Gloria Naylor, starting with Mama Day. And what about The Ya-Ya Sisterhood? How to Make an American Quilt. Try, "My Wooden Wings," by Rachel Callaray.
