What is the best experimental novel, ever? asked 683 days ago by Tom B. - 3 answers

I'm looking for decent experimental novels - something intellectually stimulating and entertaining at the same time. I'm into psychology novels too. Any tips?

My son suggested Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison, he said it was the one of the best books he has ever read, and in trying to decide was Experimental Novel was, he thought this may fit the bill.

Child 44 comes to my mind. Have you heard of a novel called 'Somewhere carnal over 40 winks'? It's a must-read if you are into psychology novels, in my humble opinion. Happy reading!

Vivian D. says:

all nabokov esp. ada,and pale fire. the recognitions,jr,and the rest of gaddis. infinite jest, broom of the system DFW. gravitys rainbow, against the day, mason&dixon are my favorite pynchon, but they are all amazing. how about blood meridian by mccarthy,or universal baseball assc. by coover. also calvino, borges, beckett, delillo, barth. that should satisfy any good reader.
