I liked Sookie Stackhouse (except for Dead in the Family). I really love the Harper Connelly series. Does anyone know of some other series more similar to Harper Connelly?

Well, it depends. If you mean specifically books about people who commune with the dead, no, not really, but there are so many urban fantasy authors out there that I love. A couple of favorites are, Kim Harrison, the Hollows series, Ilana Andrews, she has two series, Kate Daniels series which I love, and her Edge series that is more fantasy than urban fantasy, although a lot of fun. My favorite, favorite, favorite is Rob Thurman, the Leandros Brothers series. Oh and Jennifer Estep has a new series, her main character is an assassin, it is really fun.
There are others I can suggest if these interest you at all.
