I loved little women, something else like It? the only thing I can think of right now is Little House on the Prairie... written in the same time period and definitely has the strong family ties... Have you read any other Louisa May Alcott books? Little Men is a follow up to Little Women. Also try the Anne of Green Gables series or other books by Lucy Maud Montgomery.
