looking for a good autobiography which is well-written in modern english asked 708 days ago by George - 4 answers

how do u think of michael fox's book "lucky man"? is it well-written and in modern english as well? (i'm foreigner from Taiwan)

i've read sherely temple's "childstar" - i thought it's well-written though i may not be intrigued by her story as hollywood superstar.

in any rate, i'm looking for a good autobiography which is well-written in modern english.

so if u happened to know a few, i'd like to hear from u.

thanks.

I'd suggest a graphic novel in English, as the pictures would provide context and that can be a great help when you're first reading English, as it's a complex language. Perhaps "A Drifting Life" (originally in Japanese, so it may be awkward to read in right-to-left format; it's also quite lengthy) or "Persepolis"? Otherwise, I'd check out biographies of people you're familiar with, like a politician or actor/actress. Just be sure to stay away from books about scientists or researchers (at least at first); the jargon will weigh you down. Good luck!

...perhaps Margeritte Duras' The Lover...

btw, i'm from taiwan not tailand. taiwan as an island country across mainland china has been heavily influenced by the american culture for the past 50 years.

Education of a Wandering Man, by Louis L'Amour. Great telling of a very interesting life story. L'Amour did so much cool stuff in his life.
