Don't know if you have checked out any Elizabeth Kubbler Ross's book "Death and Dying" - assume you have.......? You might want to look at "Advice on Dying" by the Dalai Lama. It is spiritual, but not necessarily religious. It's about getting your mind around the idea of death, so as not to fear it. Another one: "Remembering Well: Rituals for Celebrating Life and Mourning Death" by Sarah York. It's a small book with a lot of info about planning memorials and other activities to help with grieving. Ghost Rider by Neil Peart "Death Be Not Proud," by John Gunther: a journalist's wrenching chronicle of the death of his teenage son.
