Eric you may love to hate it, buy it is one of my favorites! This is a beautiful book about the love of a mother for her son... and as she advances in age, his love for her in story reverse. The author is Robert Munsch, a Canadian who has written numerous children's books. He used to travel all over to read in libraries/school rooms to read to children .... on his own dime. He has had a stroke in the past few years and is no longer doing this. You may want to check his website, or google his name. Send him get well soon! He is a sweet kind man... and funny, too! Why would anyone love to hate it??? Its one of the few books that made me cry in the children's section of B&N....

Oh, I didn't say I hate it, I said it was on that book list. But actually, reading the reviews on Amazon are pretty funny. They're split between people to say it's the sweetest book, and people who say it's super creepy. Kinda funny.
